What happened?

Oil, oil and oil.

1. The oil in the deep fryer is a shocking dark colour.

2. They serve the beef stew in a plastic container, in addition to the paper box for the rice. I'd rather have both in the paper box.

3. The said stew had an oil slick on the surface.

A waste of resources, and it's a good plastic box that isn't flimsy. I washed it, and I'll use it as the kids' water container.

I think there are safe plastics. most of those dabao plastic containers should be fine as long as you don't add in like 120 degrees celcius stuff.

erm ok environmental, but I'm not sure about paper too as it kills trees....

The beef stew and Chicken curry is :x and I really have better options to eat most of the time.

But you can't put stew in a paper box, it'll be soggy ..

As for the oil .. Its understandable, as they try to re use as much oil as possible. I would think most of the food places that sells fried stuff are like that ..

I think they seperate it so that the rice will not be soggy or maybe it's a presentation thing

But if they don't seperate them, it would really save them quite a bit of $$ too I expect

still say times are bad.... beside the monthly co. lunch (est 6k a yr), lady boss still want a dept lunch every 2mths!!!! tat's abt 12k!!!!! with tat amt, why dun we just go for a co. trip at the end of the yr???!!! all the hungry ghosts machiam can't afford their own lunch issit??!!! wah liao eeehhh~~~~~

Seriously, the organisational development work we have been doing here shows that things like team lunches and team-building exercises don't work. There's much better ways of building things like teamwork and morale.
